Hey, sooo I’m just going to put this out there… Wedding photography is stupidly expensive, yep, there, I said it!
But… it isn’t (generally speaking) overpriced.
What we mean is that for most photographers, there are a lot of unseen hours of work and also surprisingly, a lot of overheads.
The end result is usally a hefty bill for the lovely couple and a low hourly wage (when all is said and done) for the photographer.
So, how do we do it differently?
When I got engaged we decided we wanted to do the wedding our way, which meant a really casual, non-traditional party with
friends and family with a quick ceremony.
We wanted to cut costs by simply booking a photographer for 3 hours to capture the ceremony, some family photos, and a few posed images to hang on our wall.
It never occurred to us that we would struggle to find this service anywhere.
Of course, most talented Brisbane wedding photographers would not consider this, because why take a booking for a few hours when they can charge upwards of $3,000 for the entire day…
So, we said to ourselves “hey ourselves, could we shoot a three hour wedding just like a normal event and keep costs down for the couple, while not killing ourselves?” The answer was a resounding – “Maybe… Let’s try.”

And hence for weddings in 2019 / 2020 we are exclusively offering Wedding Photography for under $1000.
To make this possible we’ve had to streamline and cut the ‘fluffy stuff’ like location scouting, fancy usb boxes and albums, which means less work for us and mega savings for you.
So, what's included?
3 x Hours of photography
(usually includes the ceremony, group photos, posed couple session, mock cake cutting and the start of the reception – i.e. the important stuff)
2 x Kick-buttocks Photographers
(Professional, lovable, full time photographers with quality gear)
1 x Skype/Chat
(Meet & greet / planning session with ye)
Post-processing of images
Images supplied digitally
(usually 500-800 quality photographs… and one dud, out of focus shot of someone sneezing)
Travel
(Within Brisbane / Ipswich. Will also travel further abroad, contact us to discuss)
Who be you?
I be Brett (I’m sure that is proper English). I started shooting weddings back in 2008-ish and moved into full time commercial photography in 2015 (mostly corporate headshots, events & architecture). Having my main ‘focus’ on commercial photography these days, allows me to shoot during the week & offer affordable three hour wedding photography sessions on the weekends. I work along side the very talented, highly regarded and all-round nice chap Beau Worrall.
Hi, I be Beau! haha. With an extensive history in photography and a degree in graphic design, I utilise my unique eye for composition to capture beautiful and creative imagery whilst using my design experience to really bring the photos to life in post-production editing.
